Shortly after Simon's breakout, mid-mission...
Destruction was all around the GDF Tower. While the bulk of the enemy forces remained in space guarding the Moon that was ready to crash into Earth, a sizable contingent of Muganns had arrived to wreak havoc on the surface. The bulk of the GDF's forces had charged the enemy forces in space; the Moon was the highest priority after all. However, there were a few who had remained on Earth to protect the civilians down below; a pair of TSAB mages and a contingent of mass production Gespensts led the charge.
Katina caught sight of her own customized red Gespenst, laying at an awkward angle on the ground a few hundred yards from the prison. She grumbled a few curse words as she broke out in a dead sprint for it, massive laser beams be damned. Scrambling over the machine, she made her way into the cockpit; already warmed up. At least they got something right.
Flicking the last few switches, the rest of the consoles blazed to life. Katina couldn't hold back a cocky grin, as much as she wanted to be the serious commanding officer. There was a rumble and crash as the Gespenst stood, a loud whine cutting across the battlefield as the Tesla Drive came alive, lifting her skyward. She set her transmission for every ally in the area. "Alright! Simnon's out and heading for the Moon! That means that we get to handle the easy part of the job!" The red machine hefted a Boosted Rifle that she would totally return to Ryusei later. Really. "Take 'em one at a time!" Locked on to the nearest Mugann. "Don't let anything hit the ground!" Blasting up towards it, arming a pair of Split Missiles. "GIVE THESE BASTARDS HELL FOR EVERYONE ON EARTH!" She pulled the trigger on the Mugann, blowing it to bits with a single blast from the rifle, followed immediately by a volley from a pair of Split Missiles that broke up what little of the remains weren't tagged by the dark green machines on the ground.
The rest of the ground forces sprang to life at this; one moment, pinned down, backs to the wall, in half a minute they suddenly downed a dozen Mugann between them.

To the untrained eye, it simply seemed like the Mugann disappeared as Signum charged through it. In actuality, she formed a small barrier around the Mugann as she charged at it, flying around and hacking at all angles to overwhelm its barrier before slicing directly through it and out the other side of the barrier, containing all of the Mugann's explosive remains in a safe pocket dimension.
"My barrier skills may not be...as strong as Shamal's," Signum states, looking around at the three new Anti-Spiral units surrounding her, "but they're enough for you! I will not let...a single life be taken! Not while Simon is still fighting!"

It was slightly riskier, but also easier, allowing Vita to go to fucking town on a greater number of Mugann. "RAKETENHAMMER!" She pirouetted hammerhead first through a handful of the things.
She flew to Signum and turned her back to the older-looking knight's. "The guys in space are lucky... they don't... have to worry about the buildings," she complained, pretending she wasn't grinning for some reason.

The particles that appears after killing it? He shot it down to even more itty bitty pieces.
"Liutenant Katina. By giving them hell, I presume you're meaning, kill them all, yes?"

All too quickly he found himself falling into a rhythm: keep a Mugann busy with the sword, shoot it to death with the rifle, and then annhilate the particles with a steady stream of CIWS fire.
"I don't even care if you don't stop until you're all dead! The Lightning's meant for protracted battles and I won't quit as long as even one of you's trying to destroy this world!"

"NACHLADEN!"
"KARYU ISSEN!" Signum sends a huge flame sweeping through a group of Mugann, quickly followed by transforming Laevateinn and wiping out their remains with a broad cyclone of flames.

Don't ask how he managed to do this without compromising the building's structural integrity; Burning Gundam's a super robot, dammit!"In the names of my ancestors, my nation, and as my title as the King of Hearts," its fighter bellowed, "You will NOT HARM THIS CITY!" With that, Burning Gundam struck a pose.
"CHOKYU!"
Following that, it leaped up into the air, and began to spin.
"HAOW!"
And then the spinning Burning Gundam dropped to near-ground level, carving a giant path through as many Mugann as Domon could manage.
"DENEIDAN!"
Burning Gundam's attack blew apart countless Mugann, and before their particles could hit the city, the Gundam rocketed up into the air and struck a midair pose.
"DISAPPEAR!"
On cue, every particle exploded harmlessly above the city.
