*It's like a kid at Christmas getting the crazy Nerf gun he wanted but thought he'd never get.*

Alright! Finally the mech I deserve!

*Katina's in the hangar, walking around the Gespenst Mk II Kai. She already has a technician applying a fresh coat of red to it. Priorities, Katina has them.*

Everything good about a Gespenst in a package that isn't a decade old! Zoe, *she's yelling this across the hangar wherever you are* we gotta work on tweaking this thing to get it absolutely perfect!

[[OOC: Not limited to Zoe by any means, of course.]]

Aah. So you finally have a prototype to call your own, congratulations!

Is it a machine for close- or long-ranged combat? You strike me as someone who likes to make it close and personal.

While it's a better close-ranged machine than the Huckebein, it's built for versatility. It's got Plasma Stakes built-in for melee, the F2W Cannon and Split Missiles for mid-to-long range, and plenty of room for other weapons.

I guess it makes sense for a mass production prototype to be versatile. This thing is entering mass production, right?

I just realized, I ask so many questions, it's like if I was a corporate spy or something like that. Reminds me of when I talked with Subaru's older sister and she was very curious about my illusion abilities... only this way, it's the other way around.

Limited production, most likely. The Huckebein and Lion lines are both more popular for wide-scale mass-production, while this is more likely to end up in the hands of special forces units and older pilots more used to the Gespenst.

That's a shame. If you ask me, Gespensts are way more cool than a Lion or a mass-produced Huckebein.

But I guess they're less cost-efficient if they're not as widely used as these other units.

I'll say.

The Lion is really cheap and the easiest to learn to pilot, especially for fighter pilots. The Huckebein mostly just had good timing, stepping in at the right time to replace the older Gespensts.
